Students

For admins and teachers.

See all students

Tap the Students tab. Active students appear first.

Search for a student

  1. Tap the Students tab.
  2. Tap the search bar.
  3. Type the student's name.

Add a new student

  1. Tap the Students tab.
  2. Tap the + button.
  3. Type the first name and last name.
  4. Set the date of birth.
  5. Pick the grade (if your school uses grades).
  6. Fill in any custom fields your school requires.
  7. Tap Save.

Edit a student's info

  1. Open the student.
  2. Tap the pencil icon.
  3. Update the info.
  4. Tap Save.

Add a photo to a student

  1. Open the student → Edit.
  2. Tap the photo placeholder.
  3. Choose a photo or take one.
  4. Save.

Fill in custom fields for a student

  1. Open the student.
  2. Open the Custom Fields section.
  3. Fill in each field (medical info, bus, allergies, etc.).
  4. Tap Save.

Enroll a student in a school year

  1. Open the student.
  2. Tap Enrollment (or Enroll in Year).
  3. Pick the school year.
  4. Save.

Enroll a student in a class

You can do this from the class side or the student side:

  1. Open the student.
  2. Tap Classes → Add to Class.
  3. Pick the class.
  4. Save.

Add a parent to a student

The parent will get an email to set up their account.

  1. Open the student.
  2. Tap Parents (or Add Parent).
  3. Type the parent's name and email.
  4. Tap Send Invite.

Remove a parent from a student

  1. Open the student → Parents.
  2. Tap the parent.
  3. Tap Unlink.
  4. Confirm.

Withdraw a student

Withdrawn students are kept in your records but no longer appear in active class lists.

  1. Open the student.
  2. Tap the menu (three dots) or Withdraw.
  3. Confirm the action.

Re-enroll a withdrawn student

  1. Find the student in the Withdrawn or Inactive view.
  2. Tap Re-enroll.
  3. Pick the school year and classes.
  4. Save.

Archive a student

  1. Open the student → menu.
  2. Tap Archive.
  3. Confirm.

Restore an archived student

  1. Open Students → switch to Archived.
  2. Find the student.
  3. Tap Restore.

Delete a student

⚠️

Deletion is permanent. Most schools use Archive instead.

  1. Open the student → menu.
  2. Tap Delete.
  3. Confirm.

Add an entry to a child's Journey

The Journey is a private timeline that parents can see for their child.

  1. Open the student.
  2. Tap the Journey tab.
  3. Tap + Add Entry.
  4. Choose an entry type: Milestone, Photo, Award, Artwork, Event, Note, First Day, or Report.
  5. Add a title, description, and date.
  6. (Optional) Add a photo.
  7. Tap Save.

The parent will see this in their child's Journey.
