👨‍👩‍👧 For Parents

How do I get started? +
Your school office sends you an invitation by email. We recommend downloading the Inscriti app from the App Store or Google Play first. Then tap Accept Invite in the email — if you have the app it opens there, otherwise it opens the web. Go through onboarding (name, password, terms), verify your email, and you're automatically signed in and linked to your school. See the Getting Started guide.
I didn't get an invite email. +
Check your spam or junk folder first. Then contact your school office and ask them to resend the invite — and make sure they have the right email on file.
I forgot my password. What do I do? +
Tap Forgot Password? on the sign-in screen. Type your email, then check your inbox for a 6-digit reset code.
I can't see my child in the app. +
Your school needs to link your account to your child. Contact the school office and make sure you signed in with the same email they have on file.
How do I message my child's teacher? +
Tap Messages → the compose icon → search the teacher's name → tap to start a conversation.
Can I get notifications on my phone? +
Yes — tap Settings → Notifications and turn on Push Notifications. Make sure your phone's system settings also allow Inscriti to send notifications.

🎓 For Teachers

How do I create a post? +
Tap the Home tab, tap the + button, write your message, choose the audience (Whole School, Class, or Student), and tap Post.
How do I take attendance? +
Open your class, tap Attendance, tap each student to mark them Present or Absent, then tap Save. You can also use the QR scanner.
Can I schedule a post for later? +
Yes. Write your post, open the Schedule panel, turn on scheduling, pick the date and time, and tap Schedule Post.
How do I add photos or files to a post? +
While writing a post, tap the image, video, or paperclip icon. Choose files from your device — they'll attach to the post.
How do I message a parent privately? +
Tap Messages → compose → search the parent's name → tap to start a conversation.
I posted to the wrong class. Can I edit it? +
Yes — open the post, tap the pencil icon, change the audience, and save. The post will show "(edited)" next to the timestamp.

🏫 For Admins

Where do I start setting up my school? +
Open School Management and fill in your school name, address, timezone, color, and logo. Then create your current school year. See the Launch Guide for the full playbook.
How do I invite teachers? +
Tap Staff+, enter their email, choose Teacher as the role, and send the invite. They'll get an email to set up their account.
How do I invite parents? +
Open a student's profile, tap Parents → Add Parent, enter their name and email. They'll receive an invitation automatically.
How do I customize the app for my school? +
In School Management, you can change your primary color, upload logos, enable/disable features, and add custom student fields. The app rebrands instantly.
Can I add custom fields for students? +
Yes. Go to School Management → Custom Student Fields and add any fields your school tracks — allergies, bus number, medical notes, etc.
How do I promote students to the next year? +
In School Management → School Years, tap the active year, then Promote Students. You can pick which classes/students to move forward.
Can I print a class list? +
Yes. Reports → Class List, pick the class, choose which fields to include, then export as PDF. You can also add blank signature lines.

🔒 Privacy & Security

Who can see what I post? +
Posts can be sent to the Whole School, a specific Class, or a single Student. Only people in that audience can see them.
Is my data secure? +
Yes. Inscriti uses industry-standard encryption and role-based permissions. Students, parents, teachers, and admins only see what they're supposed to see.
Can I delete my account? +
Yes. Tap Settings → Account Data → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent and removes you from every school using Inscriti.
How do I report inappropriate content? +
Tap the flag icon on the post or comment, choose a reason, and submit. A school admin will review it.
Can I download my data? +
Yes. Tap Settings → Account Data → Export My Data and follow the prompts.

Is there a free trial? +
Yes — most schools start with a free trial period so you can try Inscriti with your real staff and parents before committing. Email contact@inscriti.com to start.
Can I cancel anytime? +
Yes. There are no long-term commitments — you can cancel at any time. We'll help you export your data on the way out.
Do you offer custom features? +
Yes. One of the things that makes Inscriti different is that we customize features for individual schools. If you need something specific, just ask.
